- at the conclusion of the GIS preconference sessions, there will be a discussion forum on the use and implementation of GIS in education, library, and information service centres.GIS experts from the University of Windsor will be on hand to answer questions. All Access 2002 participants are welcome to come and participate.

The Access 2002 Hackfest will be a somewhat informal and completely collaborative gathering of programmers trying to solve real world library problems using freely available tools. If you are a developer, or "proto"-developer, or are just interested in your caffeine capacity, this is an opportunity to help shape a software entity for libraries from the ground floor. Hackfest results presented in the OSS sessions on Wednesday.
