Welcome to the website of
Mechanical, Automotive, & Materials Engineering.

Mechanical, Automotive, & Materials Engineering is the largest department in the Engineering Faculty at the University of Windsor, with over 250 undergraduate and 50 graduate students. Its 30 faculty and staff support a wide range of teaching and research programs in areas such as automotive engineering, thermo-fluids, noise and vibration, and engineering materials.

Mechanical engineers are responsible for the design, analysis, construction, maintenance, and operation of machines and systems in a number of industry sectors, such as automotive, aerospace, power generation, manufacturing, steel, and pulp and paper. Mechanical engineers commonly go beyond the limits of purely mechanical work, and are found at all levels of management in private industry and the public sector.

At the undergraduate level, the department offers a B.A.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering, with optional specializations available in Automotive Engineering or Engineering Materials. The baccalaureate degree program in Mechanical Engineering is accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board of the Canadian Council of Professional Engineers.

Graduate degrees are offered in Mechanical Engineering and in Engineering Materials at the M.A.Sc., MEng., and Ph.D. levels.

Further information about the individual programs can be found by following the links at the left.
