Application Process
General Application Deadlines
- Fall Semester: The deadline for complete submissions (application + reference letters) for exchanges starting in the Fall semester (1 or 2 semester) is January 15th
- Students with complete submissions as of Jan. 15 will be given first consideration for any available exchange placements.
- Applications will continue to be accepted after Jan. 15 as long as there is both space and time remaining.
- Winter semester: The deadline for complete submissions (application + reference letters) for exchanges starting in the Winter semester (1 or 2 semester) is September 15th
- Applications for Fall semester are generally available from mid-October until March.
- Applications for Winter semester are generally available from mid-April until October
Application Form:
All exchange applications are completed on-line and only the on-line form will be accepted. To access the application you will need to use your UWinID and password (same as your webmail account).
Reference Letters:
In additions to the on-line applications, three reference letters, using the form provided, must be submitted.
- Print the form, complete the top portion and give the form to your referees
- The referees are to return the form directly to the exchange office by fax or mail (the form should not be given back to the student). Full details are on the form.
- At least one reference must be from a University of Windsor faculty member.
- References from employers or volunteer supervisors are also useful. References from family members, personal friends or fellow students are not normally considered.
