Then and Now exhibit in LeBel Gallery
A unique exhibition of works by former professors of Visual Arts Joseph Delauro, Antonio Doctor, Daniel Boles, Robert Ferraro, Iain Baxter, and Joseph DeAngelis will celebrate a legacy in art education from September 18, through October 3 at the LeBel Gallery. ~
"I am really excited about this exhibition," says Brenda Francis Pelkey, director of the School of Visual Arts. "It is a great opportunity to see the visual history of the school through the type and variety of work produced by former faculty, all of whom are highly regarded. Their art work is the foundation of this school and has influenced generations of artists in this community."
Professor Robert Ferraro considers the installation possibilities for his two-paneled painting entitled, "Remembering Joe". This painting was made in memory of a long-time friend who passed away earlier this spring.
The LeBel Gallery, on Huron Church Road at College Ave., is open 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday. The public is also welcome to the opening reception on Friday, September 19, at 7 p.m. in the LeBel Gallery where former professors from the English department and the School of Music will perform.
