| September 10, 2008 Its been a while since we updated but........... we are pleased welcome the "new" members of the group
May 1st, 2008 Chem-410 research projects were presented at the Department Undergraduate Symposium by group members Lianne Guertin, Priya Philp and Kirsten Lui. Great job guys! October 2nd, 2007 The group wishes a fond farwell to Iavor and Ani Mihalkov as they will begin a new chapter in their lives. Dr. Mihalkov has been hired by Bausch and Lomb in Tampa Florida. Great news! A warm place to visit every winter. August 29th, 2007 Its another boy!! This one couldn't wait, arriving 3 1/2 weeks early!. Nathaniel Tramontozzi was born today weighing in at 6 lbs 13 oz (not counting the baseball bat). The baby and parents are doing fine. Congratulations to ex-Loeb group member Dave Tramontozzi and his lovely wife Stephanie. It will always amaze me what you can learn in a chemistry lab! June 14th, 2007 Congratulations to Mireille Gharib who was accepted today to medical school at the University of Ottawa. The whole group wishes you all the best following your dreams; you earned it!. June 12th, 2007 The Loeb Group sends their warmest congratulations to Sir J. Fraser Stoddart who was knighted today by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace. May 24th, 2007 Its a boy!! Well, we actually new that already but its still a surprise. Maxwell Gregory Davidson arrived today; baby and parents are doing fine. Congratulations to ex-Loeb group members Chantelle and Greg Davidson. Its amazing what you can learn in a chemistry lab! May 16th, 2007 Congratulations to graduate student Sapna Sharma who passed her Comprehensive Exam today. May 4th, 2007 Congratulations to Mireille Gharib who was awarded the Dennis Tuck Prize for the best 4th-year research project in Chemistry for 2006-07. Her project was entitled "Optical Flip-Switches". May 1st, 2007 Chem-410 research projects will be presented at the Department Undergraduate Symposium by group members Mireille Gharib, Mike Bolla and Bogdan Bradatanu. Good luck guys! March 22nd, 2007 A big congratulations to Dr. Sarah Vella who was awarded an NSERC PDF. Good luck at Harvard Sarah! March 9th, 2007 Congratulations to Natalie Suhan who passed her Comprehensive Exam today. February 23rd, 2007 We wish Dr. Lisa Knight all the best in her new job at Lanxess in Sarnia |
